The 2013-2014 cohort for UNC Charlotte's EMS Management Institute will begin October 23, 2013 and early registration discounts end on October 9, 2013.

For over 30 years, our management institute has enjoyed a reputation for providing exemplary EMS leadership education led by a dynamic faculty comprised of national and regional EMS administrators, public administration, business administration, communication, and psychology faculty, and professional leadership and management specialists. Our program is IDEAL for new front-line supervisors who have recently transitioned to a leadership role.

Each cohort goes through the program together, learning as much from each other as they do from their experienced instructors and they join a network of over 1,000 graduates.

Topics will include Situational Leadership, Fostering Motivation and Morale, Employee Coaching, Legal Bootcamp, Operations/Performance Mgt, Budgeting, Finance, and Political Acumen, Field Training Essentials, Risk Management, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Public Speaking, among MANY others!

The program consists of four modules that run once a month, Wednesday-Friday, in October and February and once a month, Wednesday and Thursday, in November and January. An additional 18 hours of coursework is delivered online. Students earn an EMS Management Certificate from the university upon completion.

The early bird deadline for a five percent discount off of our $1,330 course fee expires October 9th and we are also offering a rural discount this year as well. Registrations can be completed online at http://CointinuingEd.uncc.edu/ems. Thank you!
