Miami, FL—Oct. 24—Keiser University (KU) will be hosting a Scare Fair Open House for prospective students, the general public and community partners to have an opportunity to learn more about KU and the in-demand programs offered at our 15 statewide campuses. Announcing the 2nd Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in October

The Charlotte Firefighters Association will be hosting the 2nd annual 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb on October 13, 2012 to honor the 343 fallen firefighters, 23 NYPD, 37 PAPD and 15 medics lost on September 11, 2001. Hundreds of firefighters, police officers, medics and people in our community will climb 110 flights of stairs in the Duke Energy building to remember those that made this climb and lost their lives in the World Trade Center. UNCC graduates 30 fire service leaders

Thirty fire service leaders and aspiring leaders from across North Carolina and South Carolina graduated from UNC Charlotte’s Fire and Rescue Management Institute in February, joining over 200 alumni who have completed the co-hort certificate program since 2006-2007. Students completed over 70 hours of leadership and management curriculum covering modules such as Leadership and Team-Building, Strategic Planning and Operations Management, Communication Skills & Public Relations, and Personnel Management. Local Firefighters Spring into Action at Davidson College

DAVIDSON, N.C. – On Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 3:47 p.m., the Davidson Fire Department, with mutual aid from the Cornelius Fire Department, were dispatched to the Sentelle Dormitory at Davidson College for a report of smoke on the fourth floor.
